(Solved) Nero 5 Started Burning Slow

I use Memorex DVD-R media.. when I download 1 movie and put it in nero then I end up with 2 movies. Basically, you initiate a new multisession disc...it burns lead in...and goes straight to lead out and the burn fails. Can you be any more vague than "a dell"?
