No way am I going to run Microsofts authentication program after it crashed on me last time forcing a complete system re-build. For example I was faced with this problem with the “.hlp” files when I first used Borland C++Builder 6 on Windows Vista / Windows Server 2008. Make sure you are the Administrator, otherwise, run the installer as administrator. This allows you to repair the operating system without losing data. you're a savior. Remember, an administrative account with a different name than the Administrator belonging to the Administrators Local User Group is not as highly-privileged as the Administrator himself.
